Shipping, delivery and installation
How equipment reaches your site: transport modes, access planning, installation scope and the responsibilities on each side.
From our supplier to your door
Commercial equipment is heavy, awkward and intolerant of rough handling. Our standard practice is to agree the delivery method and the access route before the machines leave, because a washer-extractor that cannot pass a stairwell is a problem that cannot be solved at the kerb.
Deliveries are despatched from our suppliers and from our second-hand preparation facility. Larger machines travel on pallets or in crates; smaller appliances travel boxed. All shipments are documented with packing lists, and tracking or collection details are provided once the equipment is dispatched.
Delivery options
| Option | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Kerb-side or depot delivery | Transport to the delivery address or nearest freight depot. The customer unloads and positions the equipment. |
| Delivery and positioning | Transport, unloading and placement in the final room, subject to safe access being confirmed in advance. |
| Delivery, positioning and connection | Placement plus connection to existing services by our installation team or an approved contractor. |
| Full installation and commissioning | Connection, commissioning, test cycles, operator handover and documentation for complete projects. |
Lead times
Lead times depend on the equipment and its condition, and they are stated on every quotation. As a general guide:
- In-stock second-hand units: typically dispatched within a few working days of order confirmation.
- New appliances: commonly two to six weeks depending on the manufacturer and model.
- Complete projects: scheduled around site readiness, with installation dates agreed after the survey.
Where a delivery date is critical, tell us at enquiry stage — we can often hold stock or prioritise a specific machine.
Access, unloading and site preparation
- Door widths, corridor turns, stair and lift dimensions confirmed before dispatch
- Floor loading check for hard-mounted washers and ironer lines
- Unloading area available for the agreed delivery window, including turning space for the vehicle
- Utility connections isolated and ready where the customer is responsible for them
- Removal and disposal of old equipment available as an added service
International shipments
Equipment can be shipped internationally. Depending on the destination we quote either delivered at place or ex-works, with the Incoterm stated on the offer. Import duties, taxes and customs clearance are the customer's responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing. Documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, and where applicable CE/UKCA declarations or technical files) is prepared with the shipment.
Receiving your delivery
- Inspect packaging on arrival and note any visible damage on the delivery documents before signing
- Report damage or discrepancies within 3 working days so we can raise a claim with the carrier
- Keep machines upright and dry until installation if they are not being installed immediately
